Appoints industry veteran David Flower to spearhead European business expansion

LEXINGTON, Mass., March 13, 2007 – Gomez Inc., the leader in web application experience management, today announced the appointment of David Flower to the newly created position of vice president, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). A seasoned technology industry executive with over 17 years of international business management, Flower’s mission is to extend Gomez’s market leadership in continental Europe. He will direct all of Gomez’s business operations in Great Britain and Germany reporting to Gomez’s President of Worldwide Field Operations, Bruce Reading.

“Growing at 25 percent year over year, the European market for Internet monitoring and customer experience management solutions represents an enormous opportunity for Gomez. Attracting high caliber talent like David Flower underscores our commitment to this important market,” said Reading. “David brings exceptional leadership qualities and
proven market development skills that will enable us to profitably support and grow our European customer base.”

The appointment of Flower is the second move made recently by Gomez to signal its continued investment in the European market. On February 6, Gomez announced the acquisition of Sysformance AG, an Internet performance monitoring company based in Zurich, Switzerland. This acquisition strengthened Gomez’s platform for growth in Europe and solidified its position as the largest software as a service (SaaS)-based web application performance and experience management company in continental Europe.

“I am delighted to be joining Gomez at such a pivotal point in the company’s growth,” said Flower. “I look forward to engaging with this highly talented team and have my sleeves rolled up and ready to attack the market opportunity ahead.”

Over the course of his career, Flower has a track record of growing revenues while delivering substantial operating profit margins. Prior to joining Gomez, Flower held leadership positions at MapInfo Corp. rising through the ranks from his initial post as commercial director, EMEA, to his most recent position as group vice president, international operations, where he was responsible for 400 staff and revenues of $85 million. Prior to his 12 years with MapInfo, Flower was the UK commercial manager for Lotus Development (now IBM) and held management positions at Ventura Software Inc. (Xerox Corp.)
