300 executives, leading management thinkers, journalists and future managers
convene in Vienna on 14-15 November to discuss the Complexity challenges in
the 21st century

Vienna, November 04, 2013: A global meeting place for management – the
Global Peter Drucker Forum (http://www.druckerforum.org/) brings together
leading practitioners and original management thinkers to explore the new
role of management in an increasingly complex world and discuss the
challenges of managing organisations in the 21st Century’s rapidly changing,
uncertain and unpredictable environment.

The Forum boasts an outstanding line up of expert speakers and panellists
from a wide range of areas, such as bestselling author Don Tapscott; Tim
Brown, CEO of IDEO; John Hagel III, Co-Chairman Deloitte Centre of the Edge;
Charles Handy, Management Philosopher; Fredmund Malik, Chairman of Malik
Management Zentrum St. Gallen; and Natarajan Chandrasekaran, CEO of Tata
Consulting Services and Rick Goings, CEO of Tupperware Brands. The event is
being supported by media including Harvard Business Review, Financial Times,
The Economist and Forbes. Given the strong demand and the fact that the
Forum is fully booked since September a complimentary live stream
(http://www.druckerforum.org/2013/special-pages/registration-live-stream/)
will be provided for major sessions to enable virtual participation.

In order to give a voice to the younger generation, the Drucker Forum has
organised since 2010, ‘The Drucker Challenge’, an essay competition. As a
world premiere in 2013 a video competition with public voting was announced
. The winners for the essay contest were selected among young professionals
and students by a distinguished panel of judges led by Lynda Gratton of
London Business School. In a panel discussion on innovation, they will
explore how reaching beyond the traditional realm of business – to the arts
and sciences, just as Peter Drucker did – helps unleash ideas, allows us to
challenge commonly held perspectives, see hidden opportunities, and explore
new ways to trigger innovation not just in business, but in government,
education and society.

The Global Peter Drucker Forum – one of the preeminent management
conferences in the world — is organised by The Peter Drucker Society
Europe, a practitioner-led, multi-stakeholder non-profit organisation that
represents and builds upon the work of Peter Drucker, his ideas and his
ideals. Peter Drucker is widely regarded as the “father of modern
management”. He viewed management not just as a business function but as a
social role to achieve a functioning society.
