Achievement makes Fujitsu the first Oracle global OPN partner to achieve SOA Specialization
22 October, London – Fujitsu has today announced that it has been awarded Oracle® PartnerNetwork (OPN) Specialized status for SOA. The OPN Specialization programme offers Oracle’s most experienced and committed partners the opportunity to show differentiation and competitive edge in particular areas of the Oracle portfolio.
This represents a significant achievement for Fujitsu as it is the first global partner to be awarded the SOA Specialization.
To achieve Specialized status, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customer and partner community. By achieving Specialized distinction, Fujitsu has been recognised by Oracle for its expertise in delivering services specifically around SOA through competency development, business results and proven success.
Andy Seferta, European head of Fujitsu’s Oracle Practice, comments, “In a modern business environment it is essential that organisations can be agile and respond rapidly to changing market conditions. SOA enables organisations to achieve this kind of agility and growth and its ability to do so is the driving force behind our commitment to Oracle SOA Specialization.”
Seferta continues, “Fujitsu’s relationship with Oracle forms a key part of our Applications Division strategy. As a company we have invested heavily in our Oracle practice and as a result we are now reaping the benefits.”
Fujitsu has a long standing relationship with Oracle and the two work together closely – globally and locally – across applications, middleware, technology and infrastructure. Fujitsu has more than 400 in-country Oracle consultants, making it one of the largest practices in the UK. This Specialization award builds on other recent achievements including Oracle UK presenting Fujitsu with its ‘Technology System Integrator Partner of the Year’ award earlier this year and the company also recently achieving Database and Solaris “Advanced” Specializations.
Oracle senior vice president, Worldwide Alliances & Channels and Embedded Sales, Judson Althoff, comments, “This is an exceptional achievement for Fujitsu. As the first global partner to gain SOA Specialization, Fujitsu is clearly demonstrating its superior Oracle expertise as well as its commitment to Oracle’s technology. The SOA Specialization, and Advanced Specializations for Database and Solaris, distinguishes Fujitsu as one of Oracle’s most accredited partners.”
