Epsilon’s TotalSource Plus™Expands with New Market Trend Data DimensionLatest Addition Provides Insight into the Behaviors and Propensities of Customers to Engage, Purchase and Consume Products or Services

DALLAS (July 17, 2012) — Epsilon, the global leader in delivering direct-to-customer connections that drive business performance, today announced a new data dimension, Market Trend, in TotalSource Plus, the most powerful and comprehensive consumer database. This sixth dimension adds insight and precision to expand targeting opportunities for marketers based on an individual’s propensity to engage or purchase.

Market Trend helps marketers meet their data requirements from one single source with a more holistic view of customers and expanded targeting opportunities that determine consumer propensities and likelihoods to interact with and purchase products and services. Marketers can focus their budget dollars on consumers who have, or are most likely to have, a proven interest in their products or services. The Market Trend dimension helps marketers tackle issues like how to identify potential customers that have the behaviors most similar to existing customers based on a predictive score. It also enables marketers to engage customers that would value their particular goods/services/products. The Market Trend dimension spans six key industries and offers rich, detailed information such as likelihood to purchase insurance online, likelihood to use cash-back rewards cards, or propensity to travel internationally.

“We are committed to providing innovative data and deep consumer insights that will improve engagement and create more meaningful relationships with consumers. The newest dimension in our TotalSource Plus database is evidence of our ongoing commitment to invest in data and intelligence for marketers,” said Warren Storey, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing and Insights at Epsilon. “This deep insight will have a profound impact on marketers in industries like financial services, insurance, travel and leisure, retail and telecommunications.”

Market Trend combines data from current dimensions in TotalSource Plus to provide more focused behaviors and deeper insight on more than 250 million US consumers. The dimension harnesses the power of Epsilon’s data modeling and survey-based data set, Target Source, to deliver tailored elements that go beyond industry standards.
In addition to Market Trend, TotalSource Plus includes five other dimensions of data: Demographic, Financial, Lifestyle, Market Indicators, and Trigger. These rich assets enable marketers to better understand consumers and create more targeted marketing strategies that engage consumers and drive desired business outcomes.
