Latest Installment Visualizes the Influence of UK Bloggers

VIENNA, VA – April 24, 2012 – Eloqua, the leading provider of on-demand Revenue Performance Management solutions, today released “The Blog Tree: UK Edition,” the third installment in its series of award-winning infographics including “The Blog Tree” and “The Blog Tree: New Growth.” This iteration spotlights the top 67 marketing-related bloggers in the UK, charting their level of influence across seven categories, including marketing, social media, technology, public relations, start-ups, design and search engine optimization.

With a substantial presence in the UK market, Eloqua sought to identify the trusted, influential bloggers marketers in the region turn to for high-value reporting, analysis and commentary. The infographic envisions the blogs as “clickable” leaves on a tree, with each category sorted by color – the higher the position of the leaf, the more influential the blog. Eloqua used the Edelman BlogLevel influence measurement tool with research from London-based PR agency Hotwire and the design skills of data visualization firm JESS3 to create the latest version of The Blog Tree.

“Useful content is the best content,” Joe Chernov, Vice President of Content Marketing at Eloqua, said. “The Blog Tree ‘franchise’ is popular because it’s practical. The beautifully visualized infographics are not only appetizing to look at, they are also an immensely valuable resource for anyone looking to discover new blogs.”

“Bloggers play a vital role in today’s business environment,” said Stuart Wheldon, Eloqua’s Senior Director of Customer Experience, EMEA & APAC. “They inform us of new concepts and technologies. They challenge our methodologies. They push us to do better. The UK version of The Blog Tree is an elegant way to identify, share and thank these bloggers for their contribution. I know I’ll be catching up on my reading after seeing it.”

“Unlike previous installments in The Blog Tree series, the UK edition has a three-dimensional element, with leaves appearing to be stacked on top of one another,” said Leslie Bradshaw, co-Founder and President of JESS3. “We went with this scrapbook feel as a hat-tip to Pinterest and the digital scrapbooking movement it’s created. Powered by curation and an homage to digital curation, all in one.”
