DemandGen Report Recognizes Social Media E-Book for Exceptional Content Marketing

VIENNA, VA – April 26, 2012 – Eloqua, the leading provider of Revenue Performance Management solutions, today announced that DemandGen Report awarded the Social Media ProBook with a Killer Content Award during the B2B Content2Conversion Conference in New York this week. The Killer Content Awards were created to help recognize organizations that are raising the content marketing bar.

The Social Media ProBook is a free e-book created in collaboration with 20 social media experts, providing marketers with useful social media advice such as how to optimize a Facebook newsfeed or the best way to scale a social media program. A follow up to the hit Social Media Playbook, which provides an introduction to social media marketing, the ProBook features the next level of insight and best practices. Contributors to the book represent both B2B and B2C industries, offering a strategic approach to the biggest topics in social media.

“The Social Media ProBook was more than a piece of content,” said Joe Chernov, VP of Content Marketing at Eloqua. “It was the birth of a community and each person who came together to contribute to this book become part of our community. We continue to collaborate, support and contribute to one another’s efforts. While we are proud of the book, we are prouder still of the community it spawned.”

An engaging design courtesy of data visualization firm JESS3 added to the ProBook’s appeal. Upon release, the Social Media ProBook was instantly shared across social channels – thousands of tweets alerted marketers to the book and there have been more than 75,000 views on SlideShare.

Andrew Gaffney, Editor, DemandGen Report said, “Eloqua earned killer kudos in our first ever awards because the Social Media ProBook enlisted subject matter experts to come up with content that had a truly viral effect. Content marketing works best when it offers education in a shareable format. The ProBook does this and does this well. We look forward to seeing more killer content from Eloqua.”
