Video Blends Animation, Humor and Iconography To Introduce Concept of Revenue Performance Management

Vienna, VA – February 8, 2011 – Eloqua, the leading provider of Revenue Performance Management solutions, today announced it won a “Beagle Short Tale Award” for its “Future of Revenue” video campaign. Handed out by Beagle Research Group, Eloqua was recognized alongside some of the most respected software companies including Microsoft, Salesforce.com, SAS Institute and NetSuite.

The Future of Revenue video had the ambitious goal of introducing the game-changing benefits of Revenue Performance Management in less than four minutes. The video achieved its goal through humorous animation, iconic images and a nostalgic style reminiscent of Schoolhouse Rock cartoons. Developed in concert with JESS3, the video was given the Best Story Telling, Best Animation and Best Educational Theme awards by Beagle Research.

“We set out to convey the industry-defining concept of Revenue Performance Management in a clear, compelling and entertaining way,” said Joe Payne, CEO of Eloqua. “Being honored among some of most creative brands in the software market shows we did just that. We are honored by the award and thank Beagle Research for including us.”

Denis Pombriant, Beagle Research Group’s managing principal said, “Eloqua’s Future of Revenue campaign packs a lot of punch in a short amount of time, but never feels hurried or crowded. The video traces Revenue Performance Management’s lineage from the architectural age to the industrial age to the information age, while the animation provides a continuous stream of striking and entertaining visuals. It’s the kind of insightful work that effectively implements the best practices in video marketing that we at Beagle want to celebrate.”

The Beagle Short Tale Award is given to organizations in the software industry that produce the best short videos, typically under six minutes. The annual awards recognize companies for various aspects of video production for use in sales, marketing and education.
