I just attend the Cincinnati AMA’s 1st annual Digital Marketing Summit. The event was well attended. However; as you might expect, a summit held in P&G’s backyard meant that the content was very light as it relates to the B2B environment. What a shame, because even in the consumer capital of the world B2B digital marketing is alive and well. Pete Blackshaw, EVP at Nielsen Online and author of the newly-released book, “Satisfied Customers Tell Three Friends, Angry Customers Tell 3,000” was the keynote speaker. The six drivers of brand credibility (Trust, Authenticity, Transparency, Affirmation, Listening and Responsiveness) he presented in his address – “Consumers, Credibility & Cincinnati” – caught my attention.
