Since a long time humans have been credited with their writing skills because it is assumed that only humans have the capability to analyze the subject, do research, write and compose a content for different niche. But technology is taking giant leaps and it is quite evident in almost all the industries we have today. The content writing industry is also witnessing integration of smart robots which are capable of writing content, fresh essays, stories, poems, novels, news reports etc. which are somewhat close to what an expert content writer can write.
Many people doubt the efficiency of writing skills of programmed software and robots and contradict the statement saying “though technology may advance but it can never produce robot writers as efficient as humans”. The statement seems legit because humans have the analytical and research power which helps them create compelling content for literally any niche. But the question is, will there be a time or it is, where we can say that technology like Artificial Intelligence has become so advance that in the coming future robots will surpass the content writing efficiency of humans. Well some researches have proven so by giving reference of a robot that was able to write poems.
So let’s look at some of the current contribution of Artificial Intelligence in the field of content curation and writing which proves that the future of content writing will witness contribution of Artificially Intelligent content writing robots which may or may not be as skilled as human writers:
Proofreading:
Today there are many software which assist content writers in proofreading. The software is able to detect spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and correct them. There are some software which takes the proofreading feature a step ahead. The software understands the writing nuances and notices complex or overly used words. There are also some software like Grammarly which notifies the human writer about the punctuation, grammar, style, sentence structure and spelling. So we can say that Artificial Intelligence has come quite close to human capabilities at least in terms of content writing.
Duplicate Content/ Plagiarism Check:
Sometimes the human writers take helps of references or keynotes written or published by someone else and in doing so they either knowingly or by mistake use actual words. This is something that is not accepted in professional articles and reports. In this regard also the Artificial Intelligence has shown its presence because there are tools and software which help the human writer identify the plagiarized content and change it before it violates plagiarism norms.
Assessment of the Content:
There are tools and software which help the human writers check the quality of content. The tools and software does this by evaluating the readability of the content written, check if paragraphs are uselessly too long or not, analyze if the writer has written wordy sentence, is there good use of transition words made by the writer etc. For a human to do such kind of evaluation and analysis will consume a lot of time but Artificial Intelligence does this in quick time.
From the above points we can conclude that Artificial Intelligence is assisting human writers in improving their content but it is not sure that in the future it will replace humans because human intervention cannot be overlooked. It is ultimately the humans who will write algorithm for these tools thus it is too soon to say that Artificial Intelligence will surpass humans in content writing.
