Standards Recognized as the Global Benchmark of Service Excellence

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Service Strategies Corporation, a leading provider of service improvement programs and the administrator of the internationally recognized Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards, announced today that the Association of Support Professionals (ASP), an international membership organization for technology services professionals, has endorsed the SCP Standards and the corresponding SCP Career Certification programs, thereby recognizing them as the global benchmark of service excellence.

Al Hahn, executive director of the ASP, said “more and more, we’ve been hearing about the need for a body of best-practice guidelines for customer service and support operations. Service Strategies has spent many years building a formal set of standards and career development programs in this area, and we’re glad to offer ASP’s endorsement and help in promoting their great work.”

Created by a consortium of leading technology companies and Service Strategies Corporation, the SCP Standards were designed to improve service quality and effectiveness. The standards, which address customer support, eservice, field service, and professional services disciplines, define best practices for delivering world-class service and support, quantify performance levels and establish a framework for continuous improvement. The corresponding SCP Career Certification programs provide training and certification for service professionals at all levels, including managers, supervisors and individual contributors.

“For many years the ASP has provided a forum to advance the technology services industry,” said John Hamilton, president of Service Strategies. “Their endorsement of the SCP Standards and SCP Career Certification programs confirms the decision of the global community of companies who have adopted these programs to drive service excellence.”

Service organizations around the world have adopted the internationally recognized standards to drive service quality, including Advent Software, Epicor Software, Fuji Xerox, McKesson Corporation, Schneider Electric, Teradata Corporation, Wind River Systems and many others.
