PALO ALTO, Calif. — The Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology (ABI) announced today it has posted the 2008 Women of Vision award winner and keynote speeches on the ABI YouTube channel (ABIWT). The videos feature Diane Greene, CEO of VMware and the event’s keynote speaker; Justine Cassell, Professor Northwestern University, award winner in the Leadership category; Susan Landau, Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems, award winner for Social Impact; and Helen Greiner, Co-Founder and Chairman, iRobot, award winner for Innovation.
“The feedback we received from the event’s attendees was extremely positive,” said Telle Whitney, CEO and President of ABI. “Our survey results revealed that 85 percent of our attendees were motivated and energized by the event – and the credit goes to our amazing award winners and keynote speaker. They energized the room of nearly 700 technologists and students. We post videos of their speeches on YouTube so that people around the world can hear and benefit from the advice of these inspiring speakers. The YouTube video of the 2007 winner for leadership, Duy-Loan Le, was viewed more than 20,000 times.”
