Altitude Software First to Enable Brazilian Contact Centers to Automatically Comply with New “Telemarketing Do Not Call Registry” of São Paulo State

Contact Centers Now Able to Classify and Automatically Update the Blocked Contacts through Altitude uCI’s New Features

Altitude Software, the leading independent global contact center solutions vendor, is the first-to-market with new Altitude uCI solution features that enable contact centers to classify contacts and automatically update the “Telemarketing Do Not Call Registry” of the State of São Paulo, Brazil.

Since the 1st of May 2009, Brazilian contact centers are obliged to guarantee that consumers listed on the “Telemarketing Do Not Call Registry” will not be contacted, or may incur in fines from around 135 thousand to 1.380 million dollars. The new regulation, under the Law 13.226 and supervised by the governmental entity Pro-Socon, applies to the approximately 40 million inhabitants of the State of São Paulo and covers all Brazilian telemarketing providers.

Altitude Software’s customer interaction suite, Altitude uCI 7.5, already supports contact centers in demanding markets such as USA (DoNotCall Lists) and UK (Telephone Preference Services), and has now been enhanced with new features that respond to latest regulations. Altitude uCI classifies and selects the contacts to be made, preventing invasive outbound dialing to registered numbers, and further updates them automatically, providing added assurance that newly registered consumers will be totally filtered, avoiding complaints to state agencies.

Altitude uCI 7.5 compliance features have no impact in the contact centers’ daily operations.
