World’s First Skype for Asterisk Interoperability in a Customer Interaction Management Suite
Lisbon, Portugal; October 12th, 2009 – Altitude Software, the leading independent contact center solutions vendor today announced the general availability of Skype for Asterisk built-in with its Altitude IP Contact Center solution, an enterprise customer interaction management solution suite.
This will enable Altitude Software contact center customers to gain access to 480 million skype users worldwide, by adding Skype as a new interaction channel to their Altitude uCI platform in the contact center. Companies can use the new functionalities to set up single “global toll free” numbers, and provide effective support and service to customers making skype calls to the contact center.

This software solution runs on the Altitude vBox communications platform, a supported SIP server that allows SIP and ISDN connectivity in contact centers, running on top of Asterisk® and Digium® ISDN boards.
