In recent years a number of exciting new digital customer service solutions have entered the market. Many of these such as Freshbooks, ZenDesk, GetSatisfaction and UserVoice have become essential additions to any internet professional’s toolbox. While these better known services can be very useful, there are also less well known solutions which can greatly enhance customer experience and deserve greater attention. Below we will examine three of the best of these innovative new tools.

User Echo: User Echo provides a complete customer support solution with it’s 3 in 1 approach. When you join User Echo you will be able to provide help desks, live chat and customer support community. User echo also integrates with other social networking platforms including Twitter and Facebook. User Echo provides a free, limited version of their product as well as upgrades that cost up to $256 a month for the advanced version.

Use Response: This all in one support suite is hosted on your own server. Use Response is an open source solution which means once you purchase the product you have full access to the source code and can make modifications. There is a also a high degree of customization available with Use Response. The default themes can be easily customized for your own needs with only basic CSS knowledge. The platform also allows for localization including modifying the language used depending on the location or country your business operates in. Unlike most other customer support platforms, Use Response has a one time fee rather than monthly payment plans. There are both free and corporate versions of the software. The corporate version is a one time fee of $495 and gives access to the full range of features and the complete source code.

Deskero: One of the biggest problems in providing support is that customers use different means when querying. This includes email, phone, and social networks. Deskero allows you to turn all help requests into a uniform “ticket” so that you can store and answer them in a single place. Another nice feature of Deskero is the one click response which allows you to instantly answer any query no matter where it has originated from. The basic package, with prices up to $78 per month for power users.

While these are three of the best customer service solutions on the market they are by no means the only ones. Some of the leading providers include SupportBee, VisionProject, SupportFu and HappyFox. There are also many popular “freemium” options which allow you to try the services before committing to a commercial package.
