As outlined in Placester’s infographic, various lead generation methods have been measured according to their effectiveness.
The most effective methods are:

1. Pinterest
2. Twitter

Placester concludes that outbound marketing is the best method for B2B lead generation. In total, 39% of B2B marketers consider inside sales, telemarketing and other outbound methods as successful for generating leads; event-related methods (i.e. webinars) are effective for 27% of B2B marketers. Online methods, the traditional TV route and social media are effective for respectively 17%, 10% and 5% of companies.
FYI: The infographic clearly emphasizes that Twitter and Pinterest are not successful for generating B2B sales leads. However, LinkedIn is the top social media platform for producing B2B leads.
