10 Questions for Measuring the Impact of Social Media Tools on Innovation

I am developing some questions for a survey that will look into which extent the use of social media tools can impact innovation efforts. It would be great to get your feedback on this so please drop a comment!

Imagine that you are being asked to consider these statements: Do social media tools help give your company…

• …a better understanding of market or technology trends and insights

• …a better feedback loop on existing products and services

• …faster development cycles for new products and services

• …improved marketing, promotion capabilities for new projects

• …increased collaboration on and sharing of ideas and solutions

• …an improved innovation mindset and skills for your employees

• …better access to new, potential external innovation partners

• …better relationships with existing external innovation partners

• …an increased perception of your company being viewed as innovative

• …increased traffic and interaction on your innovation websites and other channels

Please allow me to ask you a few questions:

Which of these questions do not work well?

Can you suggest other questions for the survey?

Does it make sense to divide the questions into the Offerings and Capabilities categories?

Your answers to my questions and your general comments are highly appreciated!
