Wavetec Launches Mobile-Q, An App Aiming to Eliminate Physical Lines And Crowded Waiting Areas

Mobile-Q enables customers to take queues into their own hands

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 2 9, 2016Wavetec today announces the launch of Mobile-Q, an app enabling users to be part of a virtual queue. The new platform aims to eliminate physical queues and crowded waiting areas, saving time for customers who would otherwise have to physically stand in line.

Leading queue researcher Richard Larson estimates the average American spends 2 years of his or her lifetime waiting in line. The Wavetec solution combats this, allowing a customer to take his or her place in an institution’s queue without having to be there in person.

Mobile-Q gives institutions such as banks, hospitals, restaurants and cinemas the power to better organize information. The app cuts out inefficient wait times and improves customer service, while providing a platform for customers to give feedback based on their experiences.

To join a virtual queue, customers first choose a participating business location they would like to visit on a map. Next, customers are able to choose what time they would like to enter the queue, can view how many people are waiting before them, and receive an estimated wait time. They are also able to schedule appointments (which they can then reschedule or cancel) and rate their customer experiences afterwards in real time. See a demo of the app here.

The app is an innovative addition to Wavetec’s queue management product portfolio, which uses self-service ticket dispensers and customer feedback kiosks to provide customers access to on-demand information and transactions. Additionally, Wavetec manufactures hardware for digital signage solutions, as well as the software to help clients to manage it. Wavetec also develops service area designs for institutions looking to provide seamless customer service experiences.

There are other virtual queue apps on the market, however they stand alone. Mobile-Q has the capability to use an API and embed into existing apps, seamlessly integrating into an institution’s existing services.
