Author Account Requirements

First and most important, all CustomerThink authors must post under their real names. We do not allow posts under pseudonyms, or by anonymous, group or company accounts.

Please register with your own business email account; email domain must match your company domain. To protect the security of the author’s profile and content, we don’t permit free email accounts (gmail, hotmail, etc.).

We also do not allow generic or role-based email addresses like admin@, marketing@ or info@ because they are commonly used for distribution lists, not individuals.

Authors will be approved for blogging only if their account profile information demonstrates they have prior writing experience and expertise relevant to this community. Freelance writers and SEO bloggers will not be approved.

After you register, you will need to verify your email address.

(Helping someone else register? That’s OK, provided all the details belong to the author including business email address. You should advise the author to take action on an email verification email from CustomerThink.)

  • Login Info

  • The author's own business email address must be provided. For author security, we do not allow free email accounts (gmail, hotmail, etc.) or third-party email addresses (e.g. marketing department, PR reps) in author profiles. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • For security reasons, do not make username the same as your email address. Note: After you register, you will be able to login with either your username or email address.
  • Minimum length of 6 characters.
    The password must have a minimum strength of Weak.

  • Profile Info

  • Name suffix, such as Ph.D., Jr., etc.
  • Enter the name of your current employer; it should match your LinkedIn profile. Job titles or marketing taglines are not permitted here.
  • Your personal LinkedIn profile link. Not a company or group profile.
  • Enter your short bio of 50-60 words (600 characters to be precise). Use this space to inform readers of your background; don't use it to promote your company. Simple HTML such as bold, italic or hyperlinks are OK, but other tags are not permitted here. All characters, including spaces and links, count towards the bio length.
  • Upload A headshot image is required. Max size: 500KB. No company logos or avatars permitted. (Tip: use your LinkedIn image. Right click on the image, save to your PC, then upload here.) If you don't provide an image, the moderator will use your LinkedIn image.
  • Optional Contact Info

    If provided, this info will be included in your author profile, which shows at the bottom of every post. Be sure to include the complete url starting with "http://".

  • Will be used as hyperlink for your company name.
