My mentor, colleague and friend Patrick Schwerdtfeger is turning 40 today and has this video message for all entrepreneurs out there. Do you sometimes feel alone in your struggles? Does it seem like success is taking too long? Patrick talks about building that seemingly overwhelming 10 story building one brick at a time and counting those 1000s of small successes along the way. It hasn’t been easy for him and as he passes this 40th birthday milestone, he is on the cusp of a new chapter in his story. So watch his video and see if you’re inspired like I am. Putting yourself out there and pushing forward on your goals -no matter what- is not always easy, but it is critical to success! Keep laying those bricks.

If you’d like to learn some of Patrick’s Internet marketing lessons and you’re in the San Francisco North Bay Area, join me for the North Bay Webify Your Business Club. Since October of 2009 we have been studying Patrick’s book a chapter (or so) at a time each week, and are about to start over at the beginning in a few short weeks. Check out his book on Amazon.

His is one of the few books about Internet marketing that I recommend on a regular basis because of its easy-to-understand format, its emphasis on good and ethical SEO practices, his affinity for WordPress which I love too, and the action steps at the end of each chapter. It is perfect for someone who is in business for themselves but not in the business of making websites! This book teaches the average business owner how to understand and control their own web presence one step at a time. You’ll be empowered by what you learn.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATRICK!

Thanks for all that you do to educate and inspire entrepreneurs (and aspiring speakers!) everywhere!
