RARE Business Book has arrived celebration

Well, it’s been a little while in the making but one of my big projects over the last year is now complete. I have finished writing my book and the hard copies arrived yesterday. I am very excited with the end product. Feedback already has been great with people. I have only showed it to a few people as yet but they have been very enthusiastic and generous about the layout, format, cartoons and the content.

The book is about changing the way that we do business to one that is sustainable, enjoyable and customer focused.

However, this is just the beginning. It feels like I’m at the beginning of a big mission. Scary and exciting at the same time.

So, what next?

Well, right now we’re soft launching the book and what’s coming up next is a series of talks to business owners (I’m always willing to do more so get in touch if you’d like me to speak at your event), some interviews, more writing, before a full launch event in Central London (dates and location tbc) and then a lot of networking to name but a few activities. I’ll fill you in as I go.

For now, below is a bit more about the book and a link to where you can grab a copy.

I hope you will grab a copy and spread the word.

It is becoming more and more clear that business growth and customer loyalty is becoming increasingly hard for companies to attain using traditional marketing methods.

Further, in the current challenging economic climate where budgets are tight, companies are looking for cost effective ways to differentiate themselves. RARE Business ((How building better relationships with your people and your customers can deliver sustainable growth) makes the case that to beat the market and create sustainable growth companies need to go back to basics….The basics of building better relationships with your team and your customers.

RARE Business, backed by a series of case studies and interviews with leading mid-sized companies, puts forward a simple framework for creating a RARE business. ‘RARE’ in used in this sense to mean something that is ‘unusually great’, rather than something that is seldom seen, and one that will stand head and shoulders above its competitors.

This framework if implemented can provide comparable, if not better, growth results by changing focus from attracting new customers to nurturing and developing your existing customer base.

The tone of the book is conversational and informal and, as such, the techniques and strategies highlighted are straightforward, practical and easy to implement.

The book is also complemented by interviews and insights on customer retention and growth, not from other writers or celebrity entrepreneurs but from 16 CEOs and MDs of leading and successful mid-sized companies.

Finally, the book is unique in that it is presented in a hybrid book/notebook format similar to that used by the famous Moleskine notebooks and is illustrated by some original cartoons. The intent is to turn the business book into something that is desirable, engaging, bite-sized and, most importantly, encourages the reader to do something with the ideas that it contains.

At the moment the book is only available direct from here but we are working on getting it into other select outlets over the coming months so watch this space. To grab a copy click here and this will take you to a page where you can buy a hard copy or the ebook version.

I’ve got lots of other exciting plans so keep in touch and I’ll keep you updated.
