    Just wanted to say that you hint in both points 3 and 4 how powerful a blog can be but I think it’s also worth pointing out as a separate point how a blog can often deliver SEO results that your overall website may have difficulty in performing.

    I’ve written article for clients on blogs I’ve set up for them, that with it’s laser-guided tags, categories and often high SEO value in the first place, has meant that some posts have far outstripped client websites for certain keyword rankings.

    This can mean that anything other than a basic news item may be better deployed in a blog and then the company website link to it.
