This is a list of 5 ways you can upgrade your marketing more efficiently and more effectively.

1. Login with Google or Facebook

The age-old way of getting sign ups via Name and E-mail is still effective when it comes to lead magnets i.e. free ebooks or free e-mail course.

However, when it comes to creating a profile on your site, be it SaaS or just a community, using Google or Facebook authentication smoothens the process for the user to join your site a lot quicker.

Neil Patel, co-founder of KISSMetrics and Hellobar, cited that this method almost doubled his opt-in’s.

Quick tips: “Login” converts better than “Sign Up”

2. Content Upgrades

Collecting e-mails is the most certain way to retain and attract visitors back to your site.

For some, it is the backbone of their business.

Writing content is their way to provide value to their readers.

Content upgrades is another way to collect e-mails besides “have the latest posts sent to your inbox” and “free eBook.”

For example, some people would want a pdf version of your post for future reference or a special worksheet or checklist you designed that fits the post.

Another way to do it is to give them a “subscriber only upgrade”.

For example, your post is about 7 ways to double your conversions. A content upgrade you can do is a pdf file of 7 other ways to double your conversions.

3. Detailed Guides

If you Google the words “online marketing”, chances are you will come across one of Neil Patel’s Advanced Guides. They are very long and detailed (for strategic purposes).

His logic was that if you go above and beyond the competition to the point that it’s too much of a hassle to replicate what you are doing, you stand out among the rest in the space for a long time.

The hidden benefit of guides like these is that you can rank for hundreds and thousands of keywords for a single post.

4. YouTube Advertising

If your page is mainly educational in nature, this method would work wonders but be aware that your budget has to be big enough to see great results.

5. International Expansion

Most of the content online is for people who speak English.

If you take the time and resources to translate it effectively to other languages, your reach is far wider.
Gary Vaynerchuk, CEO of VaynerMedia recently started having his quotes on Instagram translated to Russian and other languages and the amount of reach was much greater than he expected.

Being competitive in not so competitive space is always a smart move.
